Boosting my own signal

Hi all. I know it's been a while since I've been at all active, but I've done a lot of thinking about my creative endeavors. To that end, while I'm going to continue to write fiction as the mood strikes me, I'm re-launching two blogs that I currently write under my (gasp!) real name. I mean, they each have pseudonyms of sort, but, it shows the real me as the author and I'm cool with it. I don't know if it's anyone's cup of tea, but if you'd like to have a look, I appreciate the traffic and any comments you may have.

Film/TV/Media
- My primary blog is Buffalo B Film and TV, and it is primary because of my background as a former film student. It is truly getting relaunched with a new coat of paint, publishing for the first time in two years ago and for the first time on blogger/blog spot. I've just ported some of my old reviews over and wrote my first new bit of work on the subject, a first look at "The Dark Knight Rises" and a deep look at the trailers shown before it (found here). Later this week, I intend to post a full review of DKR and a review of HBO's "The Newsroom."

Sports - My Sports Blog is called Buffalo Sports Man because I'm a man who likes sports from Buffalo (Not the most original naming convention I've ever used, but it works). My most recent post (found here) is about the offer sheet that the Philadelphia Flyers offered Nashville Predators' captain Shea Weber.

I thank you all for taking the time to read this, and further, if either of the above topics strike your fancy, I'd be quite pleased to have you follow me over there.

Anton's footsteps moved him aimlessly throughout the nearly abandoned city. He could still hear his father-in-law chiding him that here where the climes were more temperate, 'civilized people' didn't go out into the snow. It had taken every bit of his self-control not to haul off and slap the taste out of his mouth. He visualized his wife's face as he turned his back on the man that he had accepted as his kin and went out into the blowing snow.

At least the codger hadn't called him a Communist in a couple of months.

Michael's maroon sedan coughed and sputtered, giving up the ghost about ten miles beyond the outskirts of the city. He was asleep in the back, exhausted after driving for most of their long flight. Sabrina coaxed a final two-hundred yards out of the car before pulling it off of the road and into a small copse of trees.

"You know you're not supposed to be up here."

It didn't even surprise Zach anymore that Isabelle could sneak up on him like that. She sounded like she was right behind him, which meant that she'd come through the roof access door, moved across the roughly textured roof and gotten within striking distance without noticing her presence. Can't call it the wind on a night like tonight.

Life has been craaaaazy. But I'm getting back to my writing.

There will probably be more later, and if there's not, there will hopefully be a story, if I can get my Muse to play with me tonight.

The small group of survivors were frozen on the spot, terrified by what lay before them.

A bronze ring was set in the floor, four feet in diameter. In the center of it a pillar of light shimmered, a terrible mix of black and red and half a thousand other colors creating something that the mind reeled against; something that just wasn't right. And floating in that impossible light was a little girl, standing three feet off the ground in a simple shift of dark burlap. Her hair was long and dark and reached down to the backs of her knees. Open eyes looked back through the impossible light; blank eyes with no humanity in them.
